- Fedtstoffer er biokemiske byggesten, som kroppen har brug for. Der findes to slags fedt, som har forskellig sundhedsværdi: mættet og umættet. Mættede fedtstoffer er de animalske fedtstoffer, dvs. fra dyr, og de kan kendes på, at det er det ”hårde” eller faste fedt (fedtet i kød, smør, stegemargarine, pålæg, samt palmeolie og kokosfedt).
