          • A head and shoulders pattern is a chart formation that appears as a baseline with three peaks, the outside two are close in height and the middle is highest. In technical analysis, a head and shoulders pattern describes a specific chart formation that predicts a bullish-to-bearish trend reversal. The head and shoulders pattern is believed to be one of the most reliable trend reversal patterns.           • Nell'ambito dell'analisi tecnica il modello testa e spalle (head and shoulders) è uno dei più utilizzati modelli di grafico che può essere osservato sia ai livelli minimi che ai livelli massimi del mercato. • Ai massimi: il modello si compone di un livello massimo di prezzo (la testa) che separa due rialzi più contenuti (le spalle), non necessariamente uguali. Generalmente l'attività degli operatori (in termini di volumi) è massima durante la formazione della spalla sinistra e fino al punto di massimo, mentre i volumi subiscono una consistente riduzione in corrispondenza della formazione della spalla destra. La linea che unisce i minimi delle due spalle è chiamata neckline (linea del collo). • Ai minimi: questo viene anche denominato "testa e spalle rovesciato", presenta un livello minimo di prezzo (la testa) che separa due ribassi più contenuti (le spalle). In questo caso si osserva una diminuzione dei volumi in corrispondenza della spalla sinistra e del minimo ed una ripresa a seguito della formazione della spalla destra.
