Спасибо за мнение, bragarnyk! :) Именно так - только ***marker*** (без ***s*** ) (существительное здесь выступает в роли определения, т.е. здесь мы имеем аттрибутивное употребление имени существительного, и ***s*** от множ. числа не нужно в принципе) :)

Тут есть разные позиции с точки зрения англ. языка, но мне ближе позиция KARIN. Замечу, что речь шла о редакции версии перевода, а не о самом переводе.

Я нечто очень-очень похожее переводил в обратном направлении, называлось в оригинале примерно так. Слово "создание" в английском вполне можно пропустить.

: "Biomarker" instead of "biological marker," definitely. I would use your wording for a project title, but I would keep it in more expanded form ("project to create/develop a repository") if this phrase was being used in a descriptive sentence.
