En Suramérica, se habla de políticos "con techo de vidrio y rabo de paja" para describirlos como corruptos depredadores del erario público.

come backup ho trovato anche il generico "sostitutivo"
forse non è un vero e proprio termine tecnico. Back up in questo significato potrebbe tradursi come offerta tampone, offerta di scorta (?), ausiliaria, di ripiego, di sicurezza.
