"Als goed werkgever ligt het op uw pad om cliënt naar TTA mee over te laten gaan. Het is cliënt niet gebleken dat u enige inspanning op dat vlak hebt gepleegd. Dat valt u aan te rekenen."

Any ideas how to render this in English?

No, but then neither is the Dutch expression as used in this instance.
agree Stefan de Boeck (X) : Of course. One is found wanting if one didn't do or neglected to etc. Accountable is for what has in fact been done.

agree writeaway : after reading all the answers (up to now), I think this one is closest unless the rest of the text implies something else. basically, as a good employer, you should do x. client didn't see you raise a finger-you blew it bigtime....;-)

I think being "held" accountable corresponds better with "valt" u aan te rekenen.

Oxford Dictionary: lacking care or attention to duty

I would not normally use "wanting" in a formal text, but this is just my feeling.

neutral jarry (X) : To be found wanting is a formal expression, at least according to the Cambridge International Dictionary of English, the Collins Cobuild Dictionary and the Longman Dict. of Contemporary English, all of which deal with idioms, etc.
