counterclaim / notice of objection

This may depend on a number of factors: the Juridisch Lexicon (van den End) notes that "verzetdagvaarding" is a "notice of objection", similarly "exploot van verzet" is a "writ of objection".

However, the European Commission's site on legal procedures describes it as follows:

"Als verzet is ingesteld, gaat de procedure verder als een gewone procedure op tegenspraak. De verzetdagvaarding geldt daarbij als conclusie van antwoord. "

In other words a counterclaim/statement. But note that this is Dutch, rather than Belgian law.
