Glossary entry (derived from question below)
English term or phrase:
time-to-proficiency
Greek translation:
χρόνος μέχρι την επάρκεια (ή επίτευξη) εκπαίδευσης
English term
time-to-proficiency
For example, if an identified organizational objective for the mentoring program is to improve time-to-proficiency for new hires, it should be presented during the preparation phase using the SMART (specific, measureable, assignable, realistic, and time-related) goals methodology, e.g., “The mentoring program will improve time-to-proficiency for new hires by XX months.” (Fickenscher, 2013).
At the conclusion of the mentoring relationship of a new hire to a veteran employee, that time-to-proficiency should be assessed and compared to the time-to-proficiency for new hires who did not participate in the mentorship program.
