English term
terminal tackle
Terminal tackle is a critical part of bass fishing tackle. It's the part that helps us hook and land the fish or give our lures the proper presentation to appear more realistic or aggravating, as the case may be, to the bass. (Wired2Fish)
Terminal tackle has become so important that experienced anglers devote separate tackle boxes to them. For example, I have one small utility box for tube lure hooks and weights, one for Carolina-rig accessories and another for worm weights and hooks. (Bass Resource)
When taken together, hooks, jigs and other terminal tackle can represent a good chunk of your tackle investment, and let’s face it, water intrusion into boat storage and boxes happens. (Wired2Fish)
