English to Russian Tech/Engineering Geology Geostatistics

This five-day course provides the bases of hydrogeochemistry and its application to the mining environment. The course describes the main chemical processes (acid/base buffering, redox reactions, mineral weathering, metal speciation, bio-kinetics…), with references to real world including practical examples for the students. Some insights to geohydrological processes are also developed, emphasizing the coupling between chemistry and water flow. In a second stage, several applications specific to the mining environment are developed, again with reference to illustrating examples.
