There is the blush of dysplastic tumor vessels, the blush of hyperemic mucosa, the blush of arteriovenous malformation, the blush of liver shunts, the blush of arteriovenous fistula, the blush of pseudoaneurysm, and the blush of active hemorrhage. Radiologists are drawn to the term because it is, like other radiologic signs, a succinct and visually appealing way to portray an imaging finding.
