To avoid burns to a patient during High Frequency (HF) surgery whilst using a Rectal/Pharyngeal temperature sensor, check and ensure no faulty electrical circuits are present and that the neutral electrode of the HF device should be placed as closed as possible to the surgical site.

Может быть, есть более корректный вариант?
