b)The setup and instrumentation meet the requirements of the performance test schematic.
c)Instrumentation tubing and wiring is neat and safely routed to prevent accidental damage or injury.
d)The complete test setup has been reviewed for possible safety considerations.
The area shall be cordoned off to prevent personnel from entering any potentially hazardous area.
e)Review of the test plan and general sequence of conducting the test.
f)The expander and piping are adequately insulated.
5.7Performance testing
The project engineer is in charge of the test.
All instructions to the technicians shall come from the project engineer
The machine shall be started with the expander nozzles at about 20 percent open and the *loading device at its nominal setting*.
Compressors and air brakes throttle valves shall be at maximum open.
During the start up the mechanical data shall be monitored and reviewed for anomalies.
