Estoy traduciendo el contenido detallado de un DIPLOMA EN ENFERMERÍA. En este capítulo se está hablando de cómo enfocar el tratamiento de los trastornos mentales:
"On the satisfactory completion of this unit the student will be able to: (...) Complete a holistic nursing assessment for the immediate and long term care for persons across the *age-stage continuums* who are experiencing disturbances in thought, perception and mood."
Yo me inclinaría por simplificar y traducirlo como " a lo largo de las diferentes etapas de su vida" o algo así, pero no estoy segura.

Un "continuum" es todo el campo que abarca los individuos que componen un grupo, cubriendo todo lo que hay entre los dos extremos. Se traduce por "continuo", pero me gustaría proponer también el término "espectro".

contínuum etario
No es lo mismo "diferentes etapas" y "contínuum de edades" ya que el concepto de contínuum implica que no hay separación tajante entre las edades sino un paso gradual y progresivo.
Contínuum lleva tilde. Su equivalente castellanizado es continuo.
