English term

virtual campus converged network

English Tech/Engineering IT (Information Technology)
From a marketing brochure for a VoIP product:

Over 20,000 IP systems are already installed worldwide. Some are in small offices, others are part of a larger virtual campus converged network.

I am not sure how the "virtual campus" part fits in here. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

I think it means a large network of computers are using the product, but are not separate users, they are linked as part of a virtual campus .

agree Balaban Cerit : Yes. It also means connecting physically separate campuses into a single virtual campus via a network. These campuses benefit from IP telephony solutions. An example: http://voip.internet2.edu/h323/docs/Acutal_Journal_Summer_02...
