French term

chaine d’alertes

French to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) emergency procedures taken from a 'Business Continuity Plan'
Préservation des personnes (chaine d’alertes), recensement des personnes clés.

The expression in English is on the tip of my tongue, but I just can't think of it!

A crate of virtual champagne to anyone who can!

Discussion

You may have been thinking of … "telephone tree", but that's too quaintly old-fashioned and technologically dated (with a computer, you don't need a tree structure).
French2English (asker) May 13, 2011:
I think... ...notification chain is the most likely term in this context, although I don't think it was the term on the tip of my tongue... so goodness knows what that was! Thanks to all contributors...

AllegroTrans: Well, it is talking about procedures to manage a business which could cease to operate in certain conditions...fire, flood, etc. in fact, anything that could render normal business activities impossible. More context (see point d):

a. Préservation des actifs sous gestion, deux cas de figure :

d. Préservation des personnes (chaine d’alertes), recensement des personnes clés.

Text Can you provide the whole sentence please - there are a number of possibilities. Is it a physical "alarm system" or the set-up within management, or something else? We need some context to go on.
Thanks!
