Hi all -

I am looking for this term in English and can't seem to find it anywhere.

I am translating the CV of a scientist specializing in Biodiversity, soil erosion, desertification and similar.

He was involved in a study entitled "Dégradation de la Subérale de Maâmora" (Morocco)

I withdrew the question as am going to add it to the glossary.

I found the word exists in Portuguese as well as French.
From PT to EN it translates as "cork oak."

There is a cork oak forest in Maâmora in Morocco.

I think that the problem is that there seems to be a typo in your original word, it is 'subéraie', and not 'subérale'.
