Hi all -
I am looking for this term in English and can't seem to find it anywhere.
I am translating the CV of a scientist specializing in Biodiversity, soil erosion, desertification and similar.
He was involved in a study entitled "Dégradation de la Subérale de Maâmora" (Morocco)
If it helps, a google search for the term brings up sites where this term appears:
https://www.google.com/search?q=subérale&client=firefox-b-1-...
Thanks for any help you can offer!

cork oak forest
'Une forêt de chênes-lièges s'appelle une subéraie.', A cork oak forest is called a cork oak forest, as mentioned in the Wikipedia article linked here.
I think that the problem is that there seems to be a typo in your original word, it is 'subéraie', and not 'subérale'.

Discussion
I found the word exists in Portuguese as well as French.
From PT to EN it translates as "cork oak."
There is a cork oak forest in Maâmora in Morocco.
