There may well not be an established term for this in English, as the present context is the only occurence of the German term found by performing an Internet search, but bascially it means that two teams of researchers conduct a field trip simultaneously/in parallel in two completely different habitats to perform a direct comparison of the two in real-time.

Thanks -- that makes it more than plain-vanilla concurrent. No idea whether there is an accepted term for this; it's sufficiently specialised that your invention could be as good as any.

Both The two surveys are performed concurrently and the two teams communicate with each other during the process (by radio).

Do you mean by 'in real time' that the surveyors of the two teams communicate with each other during the process, or that the two surveys are performed concurrently?

See below for a detailed description of a 'Parallel Begehung'. The video uses the term and explains it fully so perhaps this needs to be done here using the phrase 'concurrent secological (habitate) survey with teams in comparing observations on site using radio communication'. If this is a scientific document, then the acid test is can one repeat the experiment or activity on the basis of the information provided.

There's a typo somewhere - I suggest concurrent ecological survey or concurrent habitat survey.

Thank you, the present context is the only occurence of the German term and I anm therefore already familiar with that website ;-)
Please could you confirm that secological and habitate are both correct, and not misspelled? I can find one example of "concurrent habitat survey", but none for "secological survey" or "habitate survey".
