This in a website for a company manufacturing medical devices:
"Zertifikat gemäß Anhang II der Richtlinie für Medizinprodukte 93/42/EWG: Einmalspritzen, Kanülen, Applikationshilfen Download PDF >"
Is "Applikationshilfe" merely a "medical device" or can you translate it as "application device"? I am having trouble finding the best way to translate this in English.
Thanks.

See EU refs for "Applikationshilfe" vs "administration device":

http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex/pri/en/oj/dat/2003/l_159/l_1592... (English, page 20 of PDF)
IMO Applikation means "Anwendung" or "Verabreichung" here (of drugs), which would fit well with "administration".

more precisely: page 20 of PDF, item 43
The German version of the cited EU doc. is inconsistent: later on (under item 45), they also use \"Verabreichungsvorrichtung\" vs \"administration device\" - so \"Applikationshilfe\" and \"Verabreichungsvorrichtung\" are synonymous.

While \"applicator\" is certainly equally correct, I\'d stick to EU speak here (i.e. \"administration device\") because of the ref. to Directive 93/42/EEC in your source.
