Remains a riddle...
Erik Macki Oct 2, 2006:
I'm sorry I'm not sure whta Köhlersauna is, but I can say that usually Swedish/dry means no water splashed on heat source and Finnish/wet means some water splashed--but neither is a steam bath (Turkish bath) cf. http://www.almostheaven.net/aho/saunaqa.htm
David Moore (X) Oct 2, 2006:
Hi, Martin: if you ask google.at for the expression, you'll find sites where both this AND "finnische Sauna" are used separately, so I'd bet they are differently heated, perhaps?

Dry sauna (AKA a Swedish sauna)

Since the Finnish sauna is also known as "wet" or "steam" sauna, this looks a distinct possibility, and I'll see if I can confirm it.
