Japanese term
取得対象開始日 <= 取得対象終了日
Japanese to English
Marketing
Tourism & Travel
Hotel reservation website
Does anyone know a standard translation of these two terms? I understand the words but can't find or think of anything concise.
It is from a technical document describing the features of a hotel reservation website. It is discussing how to acquire and analyse customers' booking information and these terms are two of the topic headings.

Proposed translations
19 hrs
Selected
reservations start date / reservations end date
If this is about how to acquire and analyse customer booking information, I think it would not be phrased in the same way as with a hotel's actual booking/reservations form.
So, I am suggesting "reservations start date / reservations end date" or "reservations starting date / reservations ending date" for the two topic headings. They're simple but I think they should get the message across.

Example sentence:
Add a start date and an end date you would like the rates to apply.

Comment: "Legendary effort, guys. Thanks for all the suggestions.
I am choosing this one as I agree that the language in an analytical document would probably differ from that used in a hotel's booking form.
cheers,
Dan"
1 hr
preferred reservation (booking) period start date/last date
4 hrs
check-in date/ check-out date
If these are used in order to look up and pull out hotel availability info and/or customer's booking info, these are what I see often at hotel reservation sites. Start Date/End date are often used in actual code writing.
If this is ambiguous, then adding Search for hotels like "Search for Hotels: check-in/check-out will take care of 取得 (this one is for room availability).

8 hrs
intended check-in date / intended check-out date
I think it encompasses all the nuances for both terms. You could also use intended period of stay to have both ideas in one.
