Yes, if it is compatible with the context-
why not ? the speaker, too, is not exactly discriminating as to the choice of words.

: Yes, I think "issue" in the singular is better here, it must be all about gas, after all.

: What does "Yes ... why not?" refer to? From what the asker suggested, I think "discuss ... again" would be OK, but "revert" - not.

: If a translation contains "the issue of ... problems", it likely needs to be tightened up. / Translating spoken remarks, I wdn't hesitate to cut "тема" or else "вопросов". If you think that wd be horrible, make тема "topic" which sounds less redundant.

Thank you, Rachel, and stylewise I tend to agree. However, the source has "тема... вопросов". /Thanks again, but I'd rather not. It is still an official statement, and "topic" sounds more appropriate in a class room. But why not "gas-related controversy"?

Yet, I'm inclined to revise the gas topics and questions which have arisen
"И опять-таки" - "let me interrupt myself once again"; "хочу" - sounds demanding, it would be better to soften it;"тема газовых вопросов" - bad Russian, should be " к теме относящихся к газу вопросов"/"к теме вопросов, возникших всвязи с газом"
Something went wrong...
