Sorry. Didn't read the fine print. Should be: "Briefly, the meeting attended by..., which took place..." or depending upon how much additional info you need to include: "Briefly, the meeting which took place...and (which) was attended by...."
Or...if there isn't a verb and all kinds of additional info that follows the preliminaries, simply: "Briefly, the meeting took place...and was attended by (or...so and so were in attendance)."
