Насколько я понимаю никаких медицинских процедур это не предусматривает и целью поездки является самое обыкновенное проживание в семьях и культурная программа.
Мне ничего нормального в голову не приходит. Единственное - rehabilitation, поскольку дети пострадавшие в результате аварии на Чернобыльской АЭС.

: The Russian text is contradictory: they provide some recreation to the children and call this оздоровление. However in an intergovernmental agreement the term should be recuperation/rehabilitation, even though strictly speaking this is neither.

I don't get this concern. Why will it have to be a noun? Is there a new ban on use of verbs, adverbs, adjective, etc., in agreements? Also, do you think "purpose" is a noun?//Thanks for your understanding!

: Yes, I think this works better than recuperation, since there was no illness--though they can also be recuperating from emotional trauma, I suppose. But I think the purpose was mostly just to get them away from the radiation.
