Размеры сердцевинных полос рассеивания

Dispersion area size
Engineers writing in English and Russian sometimes focus on different aspects of a phenomenon. Here's an example of usage of the English term:
PERFORMANCE:
With standard 7.62 mm ball NATO ammunition the dispersion area will be 38.1 mm x 38.1 mm at 22.86 meters and 152.4 mm x 152.4 mm at 91.44 meters with a series of 5 shots with one elimination each in both the cases.

Now that i've thought about it a little more I realize that "size" could be left out as being redundant with "area."

Dave, make sure you understand and know what you are looking for: read the page at that URL and take note of the definition in section 71 and legends in Figs. 28 and 29. Then google for similar pics (with legends or definitions) with keywords: bullet dispersion pattern and the like.
(As a matter of fact, that stuff of yours (and at the URL) is at the ex-Soviet private/sergeant/cadet level; you may want to check higer -- Sandhurst/West Point post graduate. ;-)
I wonder if Gary can come handy with that precious FBIS antique of his. ;-)
