Есть такое ощущение, что "начало отрыва" и есть сам отрыв, то есть, м.б., лучше просто:

I would indicate that we speak about TIME because moment without a modifier could mean a mechanical moment or something...
You could use the word "point" because it is understood that this a point in the chart.
