"Caramelizar el molde para horno".
O sea, poner azúcar y un poco de agua a un molde de pastel, ponerlo en la hornalla hasta que el azúcar se liquidifique y se convierta en caramelo para cubrir el molde antes de poner la mezcla de pastel.

Either of the two options below could be correct, depending on which part of the process 'carameilzar' is refering to.

Caramelisation is the oxidation of sugar. The brown colouring you get when you cook anything is caramelisation. When sugar is carameilsed it becomes caramel. So you caramelise the sugar in the oven and then coat the mold in the resulting caramel.

I liked your answer too, but I think it applies to food itself rather than "lining" the mould to avoid sticking.
