My name is Nick Nasev and I’m your friendly, Australian-born, London-based translator of a myriad of languages spoken across the Balkans.

I was born and educated in Australia to parents whose roots span the Balkans. My environment led to me having English as my primary language while being constantly exposed and engaged as a child to the languages of southeast Europe that my family and their friends spoke.

Coming from a Balkan yet Australian background, constantly travelling and spending time in both the Balkans and Australia, and having lived in several different countries (Macedonia, Bulgaria, Canada, the UK) means I'm alert to the hidden background meaning in phrases, sayings, concepts and words that only people from the region truly understand.

What this means regarding translation is: you are guaranteed that the work I undertake will be in native, idiomatic English. Put simply, it won't read or sound weird to other native English speakers.
