La medición de nivel se evalúa mediante el sistema de control y garantiza un nivel de almidón suficiente para la producción. Anteriormente, la medición se realizaba mediante un sistema de plomada mecánico, que funcionaba de forma discontinua y precisaba un mantenimiento frecuente. Siguiendo los pasos del progreso, esta técnica de medición se reemplazó por un sensor radar para sólidos.
