I am a native UK English subtitler and translator with +20 years' experience in the film and creative industries. My expertise covers:

I hold an LLB Law and French, MA Media & Communications (Goldsmiths, University of London) and PhD in French Film Studies (University of Glasgow).
I have subtitled and translated +1,000 films/programmes/scripts/production notes, covering feature films, documentaries and factual programmes, TV drama, corporate videos, video art installations. My clients include filmmakers, producers, distributors, TV channels, VOD platforms, film festival, cinemas, museums and galleries.
I began my career working in film programming and marketing at a vibrant and dynamic arts centre in the UK (Cornerhouse, Manchester) before moving into film distribution (Paris) and international film festivals. I began subtitling at former post-production and subtitling company International Broadcast Facilities (London) in 2001 where I held the position of Head of Translation until 2005, where I was responsible for a large team of in-house and freelance translators. I then went freelance focusing mostly on subtitling and translation, while also pursuing my interests in curatorial projects, film festivals and distribution concurrently.
I am also Founder & Director of Day for Night, the only UK company working across the film exhibition, distribution and screen translation sectors. I am forward-thinking and meticulous with a creative and contextual approach to all aspects of my work.
I also have a passive knowledge of German and Japanese.
