Bio
“A translator, like a novelist, needs to have not just a talent for languages. A translator also needs talent.”
Adam Thirlwell, The Delighted States
Having grown up with two rather different languages – German and Hungarian – I have always thoroughly enjoyed working with words.
In January 2008, I received my degree in Translation Studies from the University of Vienna. My academic studies gave me the chance to refine my sense of language(s) and to practice how to make use of it.
Translators and proofreaders are professionally skilled artisans. As our business is completely freelance, we are often underpaid and underestimated. Thus, after graduation, I decided to join Universitas, the Austrian Translators` and Interpreters´ Association.
