I have been working as a teacher of English and translations for 20 years in a high school near Seville, Spain. Apart from teaching English at Secondary and Baccalaureate levels, I was the Head of Studies (second on board at chool), the Head of the English Department, where I introduced the optional subject of translation for Baccalaureate students. I owe this subject very much. I taught the students to translate almost every kind of text, but I also learned maybe even more than them and without being aware that I had got in touch with the translation world for ever.
But after so many years doing the same tasks, I think I needed a change, and I started to translate texts for a local and small business of translations called Carmina Traducciones for 5 years. There I translated touristic brochures, travel guides, legal documents, etc. I have been working for One Hour Translations, Translated.net.
I really got specialized in business and financial English when I took several online courses in English about stock and futures trading from American professional traders. Now I manage my own funds. That's why I consider myself to be an expert in financial English, also in certificates and legal English, because that is the kind of documents I started to translate.
