Varied is the best way to describe my career.
I started out as a trilingual PA, moved into computer training, then into computer development & project management, then had my kids, trained as a Shiatsu practitioner but then money got tight & I've been translating pretty much full time ever since (2000).
I'm mad keen on rock climbing, I've translated (and continue to translate) a few websites in that field (www.climbingfamily.org, www.artline-holds.com for example) as well as guidebooks to climbing sites.
I do community management and video subtitling work for Luxov and a couple of pro climbers too (Gautier Supper, Romain Desgranges).
I worked for 5 years with Naelan, a computer software editor, writing and translating training material, technical documentation, the product interface, contracts...and I've worked closely with Descours & Cabaud over the past couple of years on their annual report, their press releases, product leaflets...
Latest job was translating very technical and unusual content for www.volx.fr
I'm happy to try new fields, I'm very fast and accurate and I can make suggestions to improve content in the source language if I think it's appropriate or useful.
Give me a try. I'm friendly but professional. Look forward to hearing from you. |
