Ils évoluent entre la vigne, les poiriers et le figuier, comme s’ils parcouraient encore les sentiers qui reliaient leur village natal aux jardins et aux champs. À genoux, comme recueillement, ils observent chaque plante qu’ils connaissent intimement puisqu’ils en ont semé la graine, bouturé la branche et nourri la terre.
Translation - English In summer, you can see them in their gardens, surrounded by radicchio, beans, peperoncini and zucchini. They glide among the vines, the pear trees and fig trees, as if travelling the familiar paths between village, garden and fields in the old country. On their knees, as if in meditation, they observe each plant with the intimate knowledge that comes from sowing the seeds, propagating a branch and nourishing the soil.
