A 28-year love affair with the (properly) spoken and written word has brought me to where I am today. I have worked in the language field since 1992 and on either side of the Atlantic! A native English speaker, I hold a bachelor's degree and a postgraduate certificate from McGill and Concordia universities in Montreal. My career path began in Bergen, Norway, where I was a multilingual translator/interpreter and English second language (ESL) instructor employed by the Bergen City Council (City of Bergen) for nearly a decade. This led me back to my native Quebec, Canada, where I have continued working as a translator (French-to-English and Norwegian-to-English), proofreader (English), corporate ESL instructor and English skills evaluator. For the past 8 years, I have specialized in French-to-English engineering, technical, and general translation, as well as English proofreading and revision. I have worked in corporate settings as well as for translation agencies. I now offer my translation, proofreading and revision services on a freelance basis and am available for most types of projects. My perfectionism and attention to detail drive me to deliver the best possible results (= well-written and well-flowing text) to my clients, no matter what the subject matter.
