É disso que Zizek fala quando nomeia o «frio politicamente correto» e reproduz com voz cínica «oh que boa comida têm», «que boas danças étnicas têm», contrapondo, com a autoridade da experiência pessoal, que, na ex-Jugoslávia, as piadas étnicas e de nacionalidade eram um cimento de solidariedade e amizade entre as pessoas.
Translation - English One of my biggest fears concerning Political Correctness is how easily it can turn into a lack of authenticity in human relationships the deeper meaning of companionship gets lost. We start to live in a constant ceremonial behavior, which leads to the impossibility of connecting with other people and develop real bonds. Zizek mentions it as "political correctness coldness" and in a cynical sonority exemplifies: "oh, what a lovely meal you got here" or "oh, you have lovely ethnic dances" the self-experience of the author is used as a counterpoint, in Ex-Yugoslavia joking about people nationality and ethnicity was a way of breaking the ice and establish a rock-solid bond of friendship solidarity.
