I am a native German living in Italy for more than 30 years, so practically Italian has become my second mother tongue.
My edge over many other translators is that I have worked in many industries as inhouse translator and as employee, in different fields (advertising, R&D department, secreteriate of the managing director, commercial departments), so I have an insider knowledge of what companies and industries are talking about in their documents they wish to translate.
I also cooperate with 2 engineers (mechanics and electronics) with very good knowledge of the German and English language, for technical consulting wherever I need and for proof-reading my translations when the texts are very technical ones.
Italian texts that are going to be published are proof-read by my Italian husband who is working in the editorial field for more than 25 years.
My particular features are a very good technical knowledge of my own, close co-operation with graduates in engineering to make technical understanding perfect and, with regard to translations from German to Italian, the perfect understanding of the rather complicated German language with the contemporary perfect knowledge if the Italian target language, with an end control by native Italian communication experts and engineers.
