I am a professional translator and interpreter with a Master's degree in translation studies and a Bachelor's degree in law.

I operate my small business entity as the sole proprietor (registered name: Iustra, prevajanje, tolmačenje, lektoriranje in pravno svetovanje, Samer Hussein, s.p.) and have experience of working with the world's leading translation agencies as well as governmental and intergovernmental institutions and organizations (for some of which I currently work as a contractor).
Due to holding a Bachelor's degree in law and a Master's degree in translation studies, I am specialized in providing translations of legal texts, however as of recent times I was mostly involved in providing translation/localisation services in the fields of IT, IoT, Big Tech, computer sciences and internet.
At the moment, I also work as a contractor for the European Court of Justice and am providing the Court with translations of English legal texts into Slovenian.
Since March 2023 I've been actively involved in one of Slovenia’s largest translation projects for a major US Big Tech company to date. My work includes providing translation and localisation of operating systems, applications, services, servers, websites, instruction manuals as well as legal agreements. To date, I have provided that company with translation of more than 250,000 words. While working for them, I also participated in coining new Slovenian equivalents for certain technical terms and expressions.

Aside from that, I translated several scientific papers that were published in renowned international journals and participated in various projects for different clients such as:

- Merck (translation of legal agreements)

- Netflix (subtitling and localisation of movies)

- Medtronic (translation of technical documentation and instruction manuals for various medical devices)

- Google (translation and localisation of websites and services)

- Paypal (translation and localisation of websites, services and user interface)

- Paramount Pictures (subtitling and localisation of various Paramount TV series and movies)

I also attended various workshops and webinars, organised specifically for translators and interpreters of legal texts.
Although I work primarily as a legal translator, I am well-versed in many other fields too.
