I am a native Latvian translator, living in Germany.
I am a highly experienced and dedicated language professional. I have more than
13 years of experience as a freelance translator for the Court of Justice of
the European Union. 

Due to my
long-standing practice as a lawyer, I have an excellent
understanding of the different legal systems and deep knowledge and
understanding of legal terms and concepts. This is a very useful asset for you.

As a volunteer for many years at the international
non-governmental patient organisation I have gained profound knowledge and a
thorough understanding of the healthcare area, particularly rare diseases,
clinical trials, registries, orphan drugs, medicines development, patient
organisations, cooperation with pharmaceutical companies.

and business (general) texts. I also translate agricultural and cultural texts.

Rates depend on a source text's subject matter, as well as the text's complexity level and
urgency. Usually, translation rates are:


English to Latvian - Rates: 0.09- 0.12 EUR per source text word / 40 EUR per
hour

Latvian to English - Rates: 0.10-0.13 EUR per source text word / 40 EUR per
hour

Minimum charge per translation job: 25 EUR
