I am an accomplished and versatile French and Russian translator and interpreter with an expertise in the translation of technical and legal documents across a number of sectors including physics, engineering, telecoms and networking. I have built relationships with well-known brands whilst working in a freelance capacity translating and proofreading documents into my native language English. Confident and diligent, I am quick to adapt to different working environments and am adept at working to tight deadlines. I am fluent in Russian and French, with a good working knowledge of Czech and Spanish.

With an in-depth understanding of a range of detailed business principles and practices and experience in overseeing and project managing complex assignments, I am able to add value to any business and am now looking for new freelancing challenges. I also hold a NCTJ Certificate in journalism, covering local and central government, media law, copywriting and shorthand; and am experienced in writing for print and online publications.

Some of my career highlights to date are:
• Recruited and managed a team of translators allocating documents for translation, participated in and oversaw translation and proofreading and delivered the project on time.
• Worked with well known French manufacturer, overseeing a large project to translate design and technical specifications for the construction of two paint workshops. Completed translation to an exceptionally tight deadline, so that work on factories could commence.
• Responsible for a large project of over 45,000 words (Russian to English) for Danish business, comprising contracts, industrial health and safety reviews and documents relating to the commissioning and operating of lines at two cement factories and including updating and improving the client's terminology database.
• Translated an internet services contract and technical specifications for a French telecoms business.
