My name is Ana Abad. I studied Translation and Interpretation in Madrid and after that I completed a Master´s degree in Audiovisual Translation which included video game, software and website localization, and film subtitling and dubbing. I have been working in the video games branch for four and a half years (Bigpoint GmbH), firstly as a Senior Translator until I was promoted to Team Lead for the main languages of the Localization department (12 people).

As a translator, I localized, proofread and tested video games and translated press releases and legal documents from English and German into Spanish. I also wrote the SEO and SEM material and I coordinated two games within the department.

As Localization Team Lead, my responsibilities included the coordination of internal and external resources, project management, improvement of internal processes and recruiting. I also took part in different projects, for example: the creation of a new testing plan for the Localization department or the automation of workload and productivity reports.

Since 2007, I have also been working as a freelance translator for different magazines and as a sworn translator. I have SDL Trados Studio 2011.
