Hi!
I have always been passionate about languages and communication. I studied French for a year after high school and went to live there for a year before I decided to go back home and study journalism and communication. As I have always been interested in science I decided to do my internship in the science department of the national Swedish radio. After training as a journalist I worked as a teacher of foreign languages, first in Sweden and later in Spain, Valencia. It was in Spain that I started translating as a freelancer in 2007.
In 2010 I moved from Barcelona to London where I worked as an assistant producer for a digital broadcasting company in London. UK. The company produces learning tools and videos for primary schools in the UK. I was part of the Swedish team and our job was to create content for the Swedish market. My job consisted mainly of localizing American and English content for the Swedish market: translating and proofreading texts; writing and editing texts; producing videos and buying images and videos. When I left the company in June 2012, I decided to set up as a freelance translator again and go back home to Sweden.
I specialize in education, media, IT, fashion, HR, legal, pharmaceuticals and travel.
Feel free to get in touch to discuss rates and projects!
Best wishes
Johanna
