I am a Portuguese (A), English (B) and Spanish and French (C) translator and conference interpreter. With 14 years of experience, I also teach translation at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and have also taught at New York University and the University of Denver. I am certified by the American Translators Association (English to Portuguese AND Portuguese to English) and also by the European Certification and Qualification Association as a Terminology Manager (Basic Certification). When I'm not translating or interpreting, you'll find me working as a Brazilian Portuguese voice-over talent and cultural consultant.

I live and work close to the beautiful Rocky Mountains, in Colorado, where I oversee the day-to-day operations of my business, ALL in Portuguese. I am also the current President of the Colorado Translators Association.

Throughout the years, I've worked as a project and terminology manager, translator and interpreter, localization specialist, voice-over talent, cultural consultant, etc. As a translator and interpreter, I've worked in business/legal (contracts)/technical (aviation)/medical (X-ray devices, oncology)/national security and defense (prison management). I have also done transcriptions and can produce home and/or studio recordings.

This is a list of presentations I have given at the following professional translators' events:

A Taste of Webcast Interpreting, ATA Annual Conference in San Diego, 10/2012

How to Bring Terminology Management to Center Stage: Case Studies of How It Can Make or Break a Project, ATA Annual Conference in San Diego, 10/2012

Freelancing as a Remote and Distant Interpreter: Over-the-Phone and Webcast Interpreting, ATA Webinar Series, 1/2012

• Social Media for Interpreters, Colorado Association for Professional Interpreters Annual Meeting, 5/2012

Lights, Camera, Action: Over-the-Phone and Webcast Interpreting, ATA Annual Conference in Boston, 11/2011

• Educating the Next Generation of Translators, Colorado Translators Association Annual Conference in Boulder, 5/2011

What Every Translator Should Know about Software Localization Testing/Verification/Quality Assurance, ATA Annual Conference in Denver, 11/2010
