English to Portuguese: Dynamic Memory Detailed field: Computers: Software
Source text - English You could be wondering the difference between declaring a normal array and assigning dynamic memory to a pointer, as we have just done. The most important difference is that the size of an array has to be a constant value, which limits its size to what we decide at the moment of designing the program, before its execution, whereas the dynamic memory allocation allows us to assign memory during the execution of the program (runtime) using any variable or constant value as its size.

Experience
Years of experience: 25. Registered at ProZ.com: Sep 2007.
I started my university years studying Electrical Engineering at Universidade de Coimbra, where I’ve learned the skill of programming thinking. From then on, I love learning new programming languages and programming concepts.
In my late years of Electrical Engineering I started studying and became a Web Developer: from raw web programming to Joomla and Drupal CMS's maintenance and plugins adaptation; later I got acquainted with WordPress and nowadays I’m asked to work with it regularly
Along the years I studied at the university I started singing; first Fado (a students folk genre), then went studying singing to the music conservatoire, later to the university, Universidade de Aveiro, and nowadays I share my programming life with professional singing. I sing in a professional choir in Porto, at Casa da Música, and in small choirs when I’m hired to sing with them; I also sing opera and concerts as a soloist whenever I get the opportunity to do so.
From my early music conservatoire years, I started enjoying translating poems to Portuguese and nowadays I've been translating, besides technical and non-technical texts (PT<->EN), full music pieces, such as "La Serva Padrona", "The Wizard of Oz" (fully singable in Portuguese), "Bastien und Bastienne".
I have several passions that I've started digging already but didn't really get any place of excellence yet: Network & Security (White Hat Hacking and Penetration Testing), Web Scraping, Growth Hacking... But I'll get there soon!
