The private consumption will slow down slightly due to the fact that the rise in employment and the easy monetary and credit conditions will face the moderation of the expansive rhythm of incomes and family incomes, which have already registered the impact of the high rate of inflation in the last months of 2004. On the other hand, the housing industry will keep its steady hand, although it is expected to grow slightly during the second half of the year. In addition, the investment in capital goods will smooth the high rates of current growth, in view of small progress of final demand.
Translation - Spanish En cuanto a la economía española, en 2005 se prevé una moderación del elevado crecimiento de la demanda interna. El consumo privado se desacelerará ligeramente puesto que el aumento del empleo y las relajadas condiciones monetarias y crediticias se confrontarán a la moderación del ritmo expansivo de los salarios y las rentas familiares, que ya han acusado el impacto de la alta tasa de inflación en los últimos meses de 2004. Por otra parte, la construcción mantendrá su firme pulso, aunque cabe esperar una ligera moderación de su ritmo de avance en la segunda mitad del año. También la inversión en bienes de equipo suavizará las altas tasas de crecimiento actuales, ante los menores avances de la demanda final.

La empresa automovilística de Estados Unidos XXX pretende vender en España unas 33.000 unidades, lo que supone un 11 por ciento más con respecto a YYY, la empresa a la que sustituye en toda Europa desde principios de año.
Así lo ha asegurado el presidente de XXX España, G.S, quien mantiene estas expectativas a pesar de que durante los dos primeros meses las matriculaciones de XXX han sido menores que las realizadas por YYY en el mismo periodo del año anterior. G.S asegura que este descenso estaba previsto en los planes de la compañía ya que la marca era desconocida para el gran público y “era un desafío presentarla al público”.

This was announced by the chairman of XXX in Spain, G.S, who keeps these expectations although during the first two months of the year, the registrations of XXX have decreased if compared to those of YYY during the same period last year. G.S affirms that this decrease was foreseen in the company’s plans, since the brand was unknown to the public and ¨it was a challenge to present it to the public¨.
