ABOUT ME

Over 6 years of freelance interpreting and translation experience – specialising in United Kingdom’s Public Service Access and Provision, National Health Service (NHS), Police, Probation and Courts and immigration law. I also have extensive experience in translation for business, legal and marketing.

Combination of the professional experience, qualifications and over a decade of life and studies in the UK has equipped me with excellent understanding of range of local jargon and other linguistic nuances and country-specific aspects as well as profound research and analysis skills which are of paramount importance when dealing with different linguistic issues due course translation process.

Interpretation ad translation is not merely a job for me – alongside many years in Business Management and later Education and Pedagogy, I have always maintained my interest in the translation and passion for languages.

To gain Honours on my BA Business Management I wrote an A class dissertation on quality management in interpretation business, I have also taught National Open College Network (NOCN) Community Interpretation and Translation and Professional Interaction at L2 and L3 for over 3 years and have developed the entire course material.

Alongside many years of experience, I have graduated from University of Hull with a BA(Hons) in Business Management, Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and a Post Graduate in Education Innovation and Enterprise. In addition, I have over 4 years of experience in Business Management and MFL lecturing, providing me with sound understanding of specialist terminology, context, current affairs and developments in the specialism fields along with excellent linguistic competence. Currently I am studying for the IoL Dip Trans to further my credentials and enhance my skills. (Business specialism completed)

I provide a range of services such as interpretation, translation, localisation, screen translation and transcription directly from variety of digital sources. On many occasions, I have also provided personal assistance, cultural training and concierge services to my clients.
