Source text - English There is now a strong scientific consensus, both on the severity of the threat that climate change poses to our lives and lifestyles, and on the role played by greenhouse gases, and in particular carbon dioxide, in pushing global temperatures higher. Carbon dioxide is released as coal, oil and gas are burned to fuel vehicles, heat and cool buildings, or generate electricity, so almost every aspect of our lives can contribute to climate change.
Translation - French Le constat est désormais unanime de la part de la communauté scientifique sur la question des changements climatiques, d’une part sur la sévérité de la menace que qu’ils posent pour nos vies, et d'autre part sur la contribution des gaz à effet de serre (et tout particulièrement celui du dioxyde de carbone) dans le réchauffement de la surface du globe.
Le dioxyde de carbone est émis sous forme de combustibles comme le charbon, le pétrole et le gaz qui sont brûlés pour alimenter les véhicules, réchauffer et climatiser les bâtiments ou encore pour produire de l'électricité. Chaque aspect de nos vies quotidiennes participe donc aux changements climatiques.

I am currently studying at Roehampton University and about to finish my degree in Translation French and Spanish. I am a French native speaker and I have lived for more than three years in London.
