I am a law graduate and legal translation specialist holding a post-graduate level Diploma in Translation, with considerable additional experience in proofreading, editing and copy-writing. With a network of contacts in the legal professions in the UK, France and Germany, I am well-placed to verify the accuracy of my translations.

Translation experience includes:

A very wide range of legal and financial documents for (mainly specialist) agencies and direct clients world-wide, including numerous and varied contracts and agreements, financial statements and reports, articles of association and court documentation;

Translation of an eight-volume (100,000 words+) computer/retail manual for a Parisian IT company to a very tight deadline;

A variety of commercial, marketing, scientific and general-interest documents, including:- technical documentation for the automotive and commercial aviation industries; scientific and marketing material for the specialist pet food industry; advertising material for a variety of businesses; CVs and certificates of all kinds.

Editing/copy-writing experience includes:

Proofreading and revision of a vast range of written materials for clients in almost every area of industry, in particular the legal, insurance, IT and forensic accounting fields; drafting and revision of copy for websites, marketing materials and articles for on-line and print publication.


I studied both languages and sciences at school and went on to a double law degree at King's College London and La Sorbonne, Paris (LLBHons/Maitrise en droit privé).

While my background is legal, I have a keen interest in the world of science and technology (particularly digital technology), the film industry, and in marketing. I worked for two years in the insurance field (including a year working with Lloyds Names), during which time I gained a Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance Practice (distinction).

Another significant asset, often overlooked, is that I touch-type at speeds of 80+ WPM.

During 2004 I gained the WLS (Words Language Services) Certificate in Translation and went on to study the WLS Institute of Linguists' Diploma in Translation preparation course. In January 2006 I gained the Diploma in Translation with Distinction in the Technology option.

I am currently available for translation work on Mondays and Tuesdays only; I only ever accept projects I know I will be able to complete on time and to a high standard. My rates reflect my meticulous and professional approach to my work.
