For everyone interested in knowing about me, here you go..
My name is Adham, an Egyptian physician/translator. My father was an English-Arabic translator. So technically, I started translating when I was 6.
I started unprofessionally 10 years ago , subtitling English-spoken movies into Arabic for internet forums and Subscene.com under the nickname of DrAddo. After only 5 films, my name was well-known among subtitler and it made it through the Middle East. A well-known movie DVD store in Saudi Arabia contacted and hired me as a subtitler, to start my professional translator career 6 years ago.
1 year later I finished my medical school. Luckily, I got hired by the pioneers in this field in Egypt and the Middle East, Anis Ebeid Film Labs, and I've been working there since then.
Last year I joined Proz.com and got a lot of jobs as a freelance translator. All my clients say that I am the fastest most accurate translator they've ever met. Accuracy is everything in our job, but as my motto says: "If it is urgent, it is mine."
I translated millions of words, that I actually don't count anymore! I've mastered the terminology of various fields including Medicine, Tourism, Games, Soccer and Software in addition to General Conversations due to my huge experience in film script translation.
I plan to live in Australia, that's why I am taking the NAATI Accreditation Test for Translators to be recognized as a professional translator.
