My driving force is the passion for the translated
word as a means to break down barriers and reduce inequalities, that is,
leveling the playing field for everyone.
I am a Certified Public Translator and I render linguistic services—translation/ edition/ proofreading, copyediting & proofreading—to central banks, international cooperation entities, and private companies. My expertise fields are economics, central banking, international cooperation, law, business, education, environment & quality, oil & gas.
I have worked within the linguistic field for over 30 years. In my beginnings, and alongside my translation activity, I enjoyed teaching English and Spanish as foreign
languages to adults.
My postgraduate continuing education spans a wide range of theoretical and practical areas. These include teaching of Spanish as a Second and Foreign Language, editing & proofreading, updates in language standards, plain language, plain legal language, inclusive use of languages, transcreation, financial crimes, compared Argentine and Anglo-American law, accounting and financial records, foreign trade, project management, leadership, marketing, productive IT, CAT tools. My 8-year informal studies on History of Art are worth noting here, as a part of my varied interests.
I am registered with the Association of Certified Translators of the City of Buenos Aires (Lic. 2737) and I am a member of the peer-to-peer International Network of Central Banking Translators. I also participate actively in several virtual communities of language professionals.
On request, I will be delighted to provide you with my complete resumé/CV, professional references, main translation jobs, and any other additional information you may need.
