Sloppier members of the QA team would simply fix the fucked-up lines that brought our systems to a standstill, but I look the time to optimize the code, condense fifty lines of PERL into a single, elegant subroutine. Years of stacking cans of spackle and sealant and prime label-side-out on shelves had conditioned me to tweak my work and leave my code in anal condition. I didn’t pull shit like inserting little jokes into the scripts like some of my colleagues. My code was text-book beautiful.

Source text - English The music slowly accumulates in my headphones. It's in some strange time signature, and includes a very creative use of bells. There is a bass line in there somewhere low in the mix, and a hint of vocals. There are these little electronic squishy noises, and I think of the fact that we're destroying sweet Mother Earth. Trucks and cars and airplanes clogging the air, fouling the streams with our chemical spills, hurting all the precious little salamanders. I want to lament the putridity my civilization has bitch slapped the earth with, I want to apologize to the minerals and plants and animals on behalf of the human race, and that's what comes out of my flute, a hellish mournful wail.
Translation - Italian La musica si accumula lentamente nelle mie cuffie. È in qualche strana segnatura metrica, e include un uso delle campane molto creativo.
